People often assume I work in fashion when they first meet me. For six years, my background revolved around fashion design and styling, where I developed a strong eye for aesthetics and detail. From there, I made a transition into design consulting within the luxury furniture retail sector, where I honed my skills in curating beautiful and functional spaces. After some time, I ventured into freelance design consulting, working independently to bring clients’ visions to life. Now, I’m excited to be taking on mid-scale and full-scale projects while pursuing my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design. In my journey through my BFA Interior Design program, completing a year has been both challenging and incredibly rewarding. The knowledge and skills I have gained so far have truly transformed the way I see the world, especially when I travel and attend design events. Pursuing my passion for interior design through higher education has made a world of a difference in my life and abilities. The opportunity to immerse myself in the field, learn from experienced professionals, and explore new techniques has been invaluable. I am constantly inspired by the creativity and innovation around me, and I am excited to continue growing and evolving as an interior designer. The dedication and hard work I put into my studies are already paying off, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me next.

My journey in interior design didn’t start at a traditional design firm; it began at Home Depot, where I initially worked as a cashier. Customers often sought my advice on design choices, sparking my passion for the field. This led me to take the initiative to join the paint department. Although I didn’t initially secure the position I desired, my love for colors drove me to volunteer my time to absorb as much knowledge as possible. This dedication eventually paved the way for me to transition into the role of a design consultant at esteemed furniture stores like Rejuvenation and EQ3. My desire for establishing meaningful connections with clients and providing personalized services motivated me to pursue a path that allowed me to bring a unique touch to each individual’s space. Through this journey, I’ve honed my skills and cultivated a deep appreciation for the transformative power of design.
